FAQs
You can read all you like about Kinesiology but there is no substitute for trying it yourself. You’ll be amazed to see how it works and, of course, you’ll begin to feel the benefits.
You will be asked to lay on a massage table fully clothed as I use muscle testing to determine your stress and energy levels in relation to your goals. We will then continue with muscle testing as our indicator and biofeedback tool to help bring you into a greater state of being.
What should I wear to a kinesiology session?
Please wear loose and comfortable clothing to your session as you will be asked to lay on a massage table and your energy will be assessed using biofeedback and muscle testing - this involves moving into a range of supported positions so best to be as comfortable as possible. Aside from removing your shoes, you will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment.
Does muscle testing hurt?
Muscle testing is a completely gentle process which I use to access information about the integrity of your nervous system and the way that your muscles are receiving messages from the brain. Generally it is painless however if you have concerns about any pain you are experiencing we will discuss this prior to the session we will communicate throughout the session to ensure your comfort at all times. I have many years of experience working with literally hundreds of different bodies and I am very sensitive to your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
New kinesiology clients will often need to come along for a number of sessions in the initial stages of their experience. This can mean between 2 and 6 fortnightly sessions then you will reduce to perhaps monthly or seasonal sessions. Many of my regular clients only require a balance every couple of months and will know within themselves when it is time for kinesiology again as they quickly develop an understanding of themselves in relation to their physical, emotional and chemical health. For myself, I have kinesiology sessions roughly every three months and find that this really brings me a great result - like a tune up and an opportunity to talk through my own challenges.
How will I feel after a kinesiology session?
People experience a variety of responses after a kinesiology session, so it is challenging to predict how each person will react. Each kinesiology treatment is completely unique and tailored specifically to your needs. Generally people experience a great sense of relief by the end of the session, and if the ailment is physical you should experience greater range of movement and reduced pain. Kinesiology can also bring up emotional issues that have been buried for some time and some people may experience a ’low’ period for a day or two before the beneficial effects become apparent. This happens when we are changing the deepest lifetime patterns and adjust to a completely new way of seeing ourselves in the world.
How much will kinesiology cost?
I charge $80 for a session which will usually last just over an hour and Concession rates are $65per session.
Children under 12 initial session $65 an hour, further sessions 30min $35.
Anything else I should know?
I will ask you to agree to proper hydration - drinking a specific amount of water, through your treatment and beyond. As an energetic modality, kinesiology requires that you are hydrated and making changes to your health, a higher therapeutic level of water is needed to clear away the debris and waste exiting your body. it is of great value and importance and something I insist upon if you seek treatment with me.
